NYISO reports Generation for all NYISO Generating Units settled in NYISO. A NYISO Project will be initally registered into the NYGATS account of the associated NYISO Participant by the assigned PTID. NYISO Projects can be reviewed in the NYGATS Account Holder's Project Management Module.
NOTE: For a NYISO Project that has multiple Generating Units aggregated to a single NYISO PTID, the Account Holder representing the project has the ability to register each generating unit as a unique Non-NYISO Project by selecting the Register New Project Link in the Project Management Module. The Generation Data for the Non NYISO Project must be reported by a Qualified Independent Party (or QIP).
Account Holders that need to register generating units in this way should contact the NYGATS Administrator to mark the NYISO Project Registration with the Grouped Gen Flag to prevent the NYISO reported generation data from issuing Certificates.
Timeline for NYISO Data Reporting
Generation data from NYISO Generators will be automatically reported to NYGATS by NYISO each month
NYISO data will be reported to NYGATS between 11 and 14 days after the last day of the generation month.
Generation can be reviewed, Accepted or Disputed by the Account Holder for 14 days. Approved data after 14 days will be used for certificate issuance 15 days after the data was loaded.
Additional information on Data Loading and Certificate Creation can be found in the Operating Procedure 9.1
NYISO Data can be reviewed from the Review Data/Self Report column of the Project Management module. Please see the NYGATS Training: Accepting and Disputing Reported Data for additional instructions for reviewing the data.
Prior Period Adjustments
Occasionally there may be debits and credits as data is finalized or resettled, requiring a Prior Period Adjustment. NYISO will report the final settlement quantity for every month as a Prior Period Adjustment. If there is no change to the data between the originally reported Current Period data and the Prior Period Adjustment, the data will not be affected. The hyperlinked value in the Adjustment New column can be selected to approve or dispute the Prior Period Adjustment.
Prior Period Generation can be reviewed, Accepted or Disputed by the Account Holder for 14 days. Once QIP or NYISO Loaded data is accepted by the Account Holder, Certificates will be immediately issued. NYGATS Accepted data that is not Account Holder Accepted or Disputed after 14 days will be used for certificate issuance 15 days after the data was loaded.
The Prior Period Adjustments will be displayed Adjustment New (MWh) column of the Self-Reporting/Facility/Project Output Data Review screen.
If new Certificates are created resulting from an adjustment, the vintage of the Certificates shall reflect the month and year of the generation being adjusted. If Certificates must be debited, fewer Certificates will be created for the current period. After the Settlement Date associated with the Vintage Year, no further adjustments will be accepted by the NYGATS Administrator.
